What do you do when your house no longer meets the needs of your growing family?
Melanie and David had outgrown their family home.
They contacted us to upgrade their home, making it livable for them and their three boys.
We reviewed the existing house on the 33 foot lot in Vancouver and quickly realized there was not enough space for the family.
The basement and main floor were full size but the top floor told the story of 4 previous very bad renovations.
The layout was terrible. It was full of wasted space and it was poorly insulated, so you froze in the winter and cooked in the summer.
The solution to this problem was to take the house back to the studs and add a new top floor. The plans were drawn up and approved by Melanie and David and permits were approved. We also changed the layout on the other floors to create a beautiful home that fits their family and allows them to grow together.
