What do you do when your house no longer meets the needs of your growing family?
That's what was going on with Melanie and David in their Douglas Park home.

They contacted us looking for a solution to make upgrades to their family home, making it livable for them and their three boys.

We reviewed the existing house on a 33 ft lot in Vancouver and quickly realized there was not enough space for the family.

The basement and main floor was full size but the top was a very bad example of a story of 4 previous very poor renovations.

The layout was terrible, full of wasted space, poorly insulated where you froze in the winter and cooked in the summer.

The solution for this project was a full back to the studs renovation and add a complete top floor. The plans were drawn and approved by Melanie and David, permits were approved and we started to convert this house into a home for the family. We took the house back to the studs and added a new top floor and changed the layout on the other floors and created a beautiful home that fits the family and allows them to grow together.
